Hong Kong Taoist Association School was founded as the first aided primary school operated by Hong Kong Taoist Association.

Mr. Lam Wah Kam was appointed as first principal and Mr. Chiu Lut Sau as supervisor.

The a.m. section was established in the first year. Due to the delay of construction work, classes started in October, thus, lessons had to take place six days a week to make up for the classes mixed.

Both the a.m. and p.m. sections were established.

Mr. Tang Chun Lam was appointed as principal of the a.m. section.

Mr. Tang Chun Lam was transferred to Tang Hin Primary School as principal.

Mr. Tang Cho Pang was promoted to be the principal of the p.m. section.

In response to the government’s policy, the whole-day-school system was adopted.

Mr. Ip Fook Kuen, the principal was also the class teacher of primary six.

A Lunch service began operation.

The school was informed that our school premise would be included in the Housing Authority’s urban renewal project.

Enrolment of students was suspended. The number of students and teachers was decreasing yearly.

Six classes with about 200 students in total were left.

The school would not be demolished.

The school was requested by Education Department(now EMB) to open up more class so as to accommodate the new arrival students in the area.

Classes were expanded thrice. There were 18 classes in total.

2000-2001

The total number of classes rose to 24 and the number of students reached almost 800.

The Parent-teacher Association was established.

2001-2002

Mr. Tang Cho Pang, the principal retired and was appointed as advisor of the school.

Mr. Chan Chiu Mo was appointed as principal.

Our school library was set up. A librarian teacher was employed.

2002-2003

Classes for primary 1 Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) students were first organized. Mixed-code classes were arranged from primary 2 to 6.

School improvement Programme(SIP) was officially started.

Air-conditioning was installed in all classrooms and the covered playground.

Quality Assurance inspection (QAI) was carried out by EMB in December.
-
A positive result was attained from QAI.
-
Classes were suspended from late March due to outbreak of SARS.
-
Classes resumed in May.

2003-2004

NCS classes were expanded to 5. 3 Mixed-code classes were arranged from primary 3 to 6.

A Curriculum Developer (PSMCD) was recruited to further develop the school-base curriculum for the coming five years.

Schools from Hong Kong Taoist Association drafted the syllabus for “Taoist Education Curriculum”.

The Sports Day was held and Mr. Ng Yiu Tung, the supervisor of our school was invited to officiate the opening ceremony.
-
NCS classes increased to 7. 3 Mixed-code classes were arranged.
-
The new Education Block was completed.
-
The school’s 35th Anniversary will be celebrated with various activities.
